About this Blog

Hello Readers and Karaoke fans!
I am Amanda Davie, founder of Boolian Limited, and author of this blog.
I set up Boolian in 2008 after ten years in the digital communications industry.
I spent most of this time on the agency side (where the heavy lifting and the big ideas happen). And I spent the seven years prior to Boolian occupying Head of Search roles at Outrider (a WPP agency) and subsequently as Head of Search at i-level – I was responsible for the largest specialist Search operation in the media agency sector: i-level Search - a top three client of Google’s (in terms of PPC billings).
Over the years I have trained and managed SEO, PPC and other digital media specialists, from graduates through to senior strategists. And as a member of the operational board at i-level, I got to know the ‘ins and outs’ of agency-side workings in terms of operational delivery and commercial strategies, and I am proud of my contribution to i-level’s success in the years 2004-2008.
Things I am passionate about (in no particular order), which may inform the topics in this blog:
Search engines, search behaviour and search marketing
Digital communications and driving business success through digital
Digital semantics and online language/linguistics
Web pschychology
Digital content strategies
Agency best practice and innovation
Digital customer engagement strategies
Digital for businesses - how businesses can innovate and grow through digital
- and Karaoke!
(So, if any entrepreneurs or investors out there want to launch a community-based, semantic karaoke search engine, then I’m your woman!)
Please let me know what you think of my ramblings, and please feel free to alert the men in white coats!
I look forward to hearing from you,
Amanda.
